Community & HealthExpert Voices: Healthcare Professionals in Conversation
Providing an opportunity for discussion, learning and community engagement.
Our Pre-Show Myth-Busting Session invites audiences to challenge common misconceptions surrounding men's health, mental wellbeing, hair loss, cancer, identity and the cultural significance of the barbershop. Through open conversation we separate fact from fiction, encouraging honest dialogue before the performance begins.
The production explores friendship, masculinity, cultural identity, stigma, grief, resilience, health inequalities and the importance of seeking support.
Following the performance, our Post-Show Panel Discussion brings together health professionals, community leaders, barbers and individuals with lived experience to reflect on the issues raised in the play.
Audience participation is central, allowing people to ask questions, share experiences and explore practical ways to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes and improve health outcomes.
Together these discussions transform the production from theatre into a platform for education, connection and positive change.
